Shelley
Shelley is my daughters Jack Russell terrier, small, brown and white
approx 8yrs old.
Wednesday night after the show Jumping Competition and quick visit to the pub (Judging show Jumping is quite stressful, even though I didnt do any judging wednesday cause my daughter took over, leaving me to socialise but that can be stressful too hence visit too pub) I arrived home at about midnight noticed Shelley wasn’t around Looked outside and upstairs just in case but couldnt find her, assumed I’d locked her in the office when feeding cats earlier. So I thought she’d be ok till morning (Comfortable chairs, warm and cat food) Thursday was a busy day (see show jumping) and at lunchtime I realised she hadnt been in the office and still no one had seen her. Did a search of premises still no sign. By 3pm the kids off the yard had organised search parties and were now searching the woodland, fields and local area, on one occasion thinking they could hear some faint yapping but could find nothing. Approx 4pm Shelley arrived home tangled in a home made wire fox trap. She must have been trapped in it for 24hours and if she hadn’t managed to pull the whole thing free I’ve no doubt she would have slowly starved to death. As it is she is ok very tired and hungry and some wounds around where she was trapped but not too bad. These things are barbaric and will kill anything caught in them AND THEY SAY FOX HUNTING IS CRUEL

Poor Shelley. Glad to hear she’s safe and sound. Hope the sod knots themselves up in one of their own traps. Also quick message to say it’s my first trip to the website tonight. Looking fab. Great lesson this evening Chris. Appolgies for leaving a large quantity of brain at home.
